Do the planters come with drainage holes?

Drainage specifications vary by planter. Most terracotta and ceramic garden planters include drainage holes; many decorative indoor cache-pots do not and are intended to hold a nursery pot inside. For indoor use without drainage, placing a layer of gravel in the bottom of the planter or using a removable nursery liner are standard approaches to prevent root saturation.

What size planter do I need for my plant?

A planter should be 1–2 inches wider in diameter than the plant’s current nursery pot — enough room for roots to grow without so much excess that soil stays wet. For statement floor plants, a planter 10–14 inches in diameter is typically appropriate for common large indoor varieties like fiddle-leaf figs and monsteras. Measure the nursery pot diameter before ordering to confirm fit.
